Davie man killed in Afghanistan

A Davie man was killed this week in Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. Juan L. Rivadeneira, 27,of Davie, died Nov. 13 in the Kandahar province, Afghanistan. Rivadeneira, along with Corporal Jacob R. Pembroke Pines man killed in Operation Enduring Freedom

A local Broward resident has been killed while fighting in the Marines during Operation Enduring Freedom. Lance Cpl. Patrick Xavier Jr., 24, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., died May 18 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
