Davie hosting Veterans Day service

The Town of Davie in collaboration with Senior Citizen Advisory Committee Chair Bill Leibowitz will host a Veterans Day memorial service on Thursday, November 11, 2010, beginning at 10 a.m., at Veterans Park located at 5750 S.W. 39th Street in Davie.

Join Davie Mayor Judy Paul, U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and others as Davie honors the brave men and woman who served to protect our country. There will be music and refreshments. Food for the service is being donated by Publix, Ho Toi Asian Bistro, and Bob Roth’s New River Groves.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9697, located at 5484 Griffin Road will have a barbeque following the service. The cost for the barbeque is $5.
