Kids Konventionat Coral Square mall this weekend

“Kids Konvention 2010” is making its final South Florida appearance of the year at Coral Square Mall on Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22. This 22nd annual FREE community event provides an entertaining way for children and their families to learn about safety while enjoying themselves through a variety of interactive games and attractions.

One highlight of this year’s event will include the award-winning Pretend Party Productions hosting children’s story time on the event main stage on Sunday at noon.  Families will enjoy “Caterpillar/Butterfly,” “White Rabbit,” “Red Dog,” “Chef Sally,” “Brown Bear” and “Mother Goose” who are among the 32 costumed storybook characters that aim to delight and amaze.

Other appearances and activities include “Car 911 – The Safety Robot” the Broward County Sheriff Department’s interactive robot available noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, the annual talent show on Sunday at 5 p.m., dance recitals, martial arts demonstrations, face painting, a bounce house, a giant Lego-style play area courtesy of South Florida Parenting, balloon sculptures, clowns and more.  “Billy the Marlin”, “Stanley C. Panther”, and “Burnie” from the Miami Heat will also be making special appearances both days.

“Kids Konvention 2010” is produced by Place Rite Enterprises.
