Computer Classes for Beginners
If you are just learning to use a computer or need to brush up on the basics, the Parkland Library has a series of free computer basic classes that are just for you. Meeting at 5:45 pm for five nights in January, the course covers everything a beginner needs to know, including the internet and email. Class dates: January 12, 19, 21, 25, and 26. Call (or come by the Library to register for one class or all five.
Winter / Spring Storytime Registration, JAN 11, 12, 13 During this time period you may register your child’s name on our numbered storytime class lottery list. There will be a separate list for each class. Selected participants will be notified by Jan. 19th. You must have a Parkland library card to register. Color Printing Now Available
Color printing is here. The Library’s computers can now print in color ($0.50 per page) as well as black and white ($0.15 per page). We are pleased to bring you this new service.

AARP Driver Safety Course: WED JAN 6 & FRI JAN 8

City of Parkland & JM Lexus Concert Series & 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off: JAN 9
Bring your Boots & Cowboy Hats!!! The City of Parkland and JM Lexus present Sweetwater Junction Band, along with our annual Chili Cook-off on Saturday, January 9th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. This is a free performance at the Pine Trails Park Amphitheater. Come out and join your neighbors for this spectacular family event. Senior Overnight Trip to Key West, Florida: FEB 8 & 9

Early Release Day Program: JAN 15
Early Release Day Programs are afternoon programs scheduled on Early Release days, when students are out of school. The ages of children that may participate in the program are from 5 through 11 years of age (kindergarten thru 5 grades). The programs are offered from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The fee for the day program is $10.00 per child and $25.00 per family (more than 2 children). Activities include crafts, games, Liberty Park, video games, etc. Advanced registration required. Teacher Workday Program: JAN 19
Teacher Workday Programs are one day programs schedule on teacher workdays, when the students are out of school. The ages of children that may participate in the program are from 5 through 11 years of age (kindergarten thru 5th grade). The programs are offered from 8:00AM to 4:30PM. Activities include, crafts, video games, Liberty Park, group games, etc. The fee for the day program is $45.00 for residents and $50.00 for non-residents. Advanced registration is required.
