City of Parkland Launching Improved Web Page

The City of Parkland is excited to announce the launching of our improved City Web Page.   As of Friday March 5, when you go to http://cityofparkland.org you will see a new and improved look and experience enhanced functionality.  With the new look, City staff can manage almost every aspect of the City’s web site – from updating the “City Calendar” to developing new pages.  With immediate access by City staff to department web pages, information is expected to be updated more quickly.  Some highlights of the new site will be a more dynamic and exciting appearance, a robust search engine, and better graphics.  “In my opinion, the Calendar module is the best new feature on the web site” stated City Manager Caryn Gardner-Young.  Residents will be able to view an event and then see all the event details at their finger tip. We hope that you visit the new site.   If you have any questions or concerns, please visit our homepage and try our “Report a Concern” feature by clicking on the icon located on the left hand side.

NSID Commits to Maintain Median
The City of Parkland (“City”) had received numerous complaints over the condition of the Holmberg Road median in front of Westglades Middle School.  This median is the responsibility of North Springs Improvement District (“NSID”).  As a result in the past, the City has had to initiate code enforcement actions against NSID to correct the deficiencies. Due to several changes at NSID, City Staff was able to discuss this issue with NSID Staff and the City obtained a commitment from NSID to properly maintain the median.  The City is pleased to announce that NSID has entered into a Median Maintenance Agreement with the City which outlines the obligations and standards that NSID is expected to follow.  The City looks forward to a continued cooperative relationship with NSID to ensure that the Parkland resident expectations are met.
