Bomb threat at a Lauderdale Lakes school
The Broward Sheriff’s Office has responded to a bomb threat at a local middle school. Around 11:30 a.m. the Broward Sheriff’s Office received two phone calls telling police that there was a bomb inside of Lauderdale Lakes Middle School, located at 3911 NW 29 Ave.
As soon as the call was received, school officials immediately evacuated the school to protect the students and staff while the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and the BSO Bomb Squad responded to the scene to investigate the bomb.
At this time, three teachers/school staff are complaining of heat-related sympotoms and are being evaluated on scene by Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews. The evacuated students are being moved to neighboring Boyd Anderson High School
