My husband proposed to me with a ring that he bought by selling his race bike. He went with me on a trip I won and proposed to the theme song from GHOST on a bridge in Naples where he craved our intials.TWe meet on a blind date on Feb 10, 1989 and we have three wonderful children.

During our 2nd valentine’s day together, my husband (then boyfriend) and I were pretty low on funds. I wasn’t expecting us to do anything, but I came home from work and there were candles everywhere (he purchased a whole bag at the dollar store), there were construction paper hearts hanging from the ceiling and construction paper footprints that led around the room to little cute notes like “I’m nuts about you” next to a bag of peanuts. He made me a card out of construction paper that had a beautiful poem he wrote about us. I think everything cost him $5. It was the sweetest and most romantic experience of my life.

About 16 years ago, a year after my husband and I were dating my husband brought me a tattoo drawing he design himself and a gnome card saying: ” Not hard to fall in love with you, but very hard to forgive you”…I still keep his card… I never did a tattoo, but I am still thinking about the tattoo’s proposal… We are still married!!!

My late husband and I had a tradition–every Sunday we made brunch with mimosas and hors d’ouvres laid out on the coffee table, and a rented movie. we spent hours eating and snuggling on the couch. It was a romantic way to reconnect after a long week.
