Hollywood man arrested on child porn charges
The Fort Lauderdale Police Department, a member of the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested Brian K. Henwood today.
Beginning November 2009, information was developed on an IP address that contained and was sharing child pornography files via the Internet. Investigators learned that the IP address came back to an address in Hollywood, Florida.
On June 10, 2010 a Fort Lauderdale Detective along with members of the South Florida ICAC Task Force obtained consent to search and seize Henwood’s computer. A preliminary forensic computer examination revealed over twenty (20) files depicting child pornography. These images/movies depicted child victims as young as 6 to 8 years of age engaging in sexual intercourse with adults.
During a voluntary interview, Henwood admitted to downloading, storing, viewing, and masturbating to child pornography. At approximately 10 A.M. today, Henwood was taken into custody and charged with 20 counts of child pornography. Post Miranda interview, Henwood made further admissions to downloading and storing child pornography, as described above.
Investigators are seeking any information or the possibility of any victims in relation to Henwood’s arrest. Henwood’s employment placed him in parks, stores, and hotels. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Robert Mauro at
