Hollywood hosting tree sale this weekend

The City of Hollywood Department of Public Works will be holding a tree sale at the David Park Community Center on Friday, May 14 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 15 from 8:00 a.m. until noon. David Park is located at 108 North 33rd Court. (Click address for map).

The sale will feature Spindle Palms and Flowering White Magnolia. There will be many additional species of trees for sale, including Live Oak, Satin Leaf, Red Maple, Ironwood, Tamarind and a variety of palm trees and flowering trees.  All trees are $10.00 for Hollywood residents and payment may be made by cash or check.

The Nursery Division of the Public Works Department has coordinated the sale of trees and palms over the past several months. Investing in and planting these low cost trees will contribute additional canopy coverage to our urban forest which leads to a more sustainable environment.

For information about the tree sale, contact the City of Hollywood’s Department of Public Works at 954.967.4526.
