Budget town hall for Broward schools Monday night; watch online

If you’ve been hearing about the education funding debates in Broward County, and want to speak out about it, here’s your chance. On Monday April 19 from 6-8 p.m., Broward County Public Schools is hosting a town hall meeting with the School Board of Broward County and Superintendent James Notter to address the District budget and how state education funding is impacting public education in Broward.
Questions may be e-mailed, beginning tonight at 6 p.m. and continuing through the start of the event, to ().
Parents, students, teachers, staff, and community members are invited to attend. The town hall will gather residents in several locations around the county.
The Town Hall Meeting will be broadcast live on BECON-TV (Cable Channel 19/Satellite Channel 63) and will be streamed live on the District’s Web site (www.browardschools.com). Questions and comments from television and Internet viewers are welcomed and may be submitted online via (www.browardschools.com)
