Three arrested in Wilton Manors for armed robbery
At 9:30 pm Saturday night, Wilton Manors Police responded to the area of NE 26 St and NE 6 Ave. in reference to an armed robbery that just occurred. Two males dressed in black robbed the victim at gunpoint and fled on foot. The victim Yul Buzon, 24, was able to call 911 and maintain eye contact with the suspects. Wilton Manors Police arrived in the area and Ofc. Lazaro Rodriguez spotted the suspects entering a vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and three suspects were taken into custody. The victim did identify two of the three occupants as the ones who robbed him. After a search of the vehicle Police did locate a black BB gun and found the victims personal property on the front seat of the vehicle.
The three suspects were transported to the Wilton Manors Police Department where they were interviewed by Detectives. All three suspects confessed to this robbery. Detectives were able to determine that these same three suspects also committed three separate strong armed robberies the week before based on their statements.
The suspects are identified as Franklin Aiken, 18, Leon Grant, 20 and Raymond Etienne, 18. Franklin Aiken was charged with Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery and three counts of Strong Armed Robbery. Leon Grant was charged with Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery and three counts of Strong Armed Robbery. Raymond Etienne was charged with Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault with a firearm and three counts of Strong Armed Robbery. The suspects were booked into the Broward County Jail.
