Going downtown this weekend? Traffic advisory for Ft. Lauderdale’s St. Patt’s Day festival

The City of Fort Lauderdale reminds visitors and residents that the Fort Lauderdale St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival will be held on Saturday, March 13. The Fort Lauderdale St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. and travel west along Las Olas Boulevard from S.E. 8th Avenue to Huizenga Plaza. Residents and visitors should be advised of the following traffic advisory due to the parade route.

Traffic Advisory

  • E. Las Olas Boulevard from Andrews Avenue to S.E. 1st Avenue will be closed from 7 a.m. to Midnight.
  • E. Las Olas Boulevard from S.E. 1st Avenue to S.E. 9th Avenue will be closed from approximately 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The intersections of E. Las Olas Boulevard and S.E. 2nd, 3rd and 6th Avenues will be closed from 2 to 5 p.m.
  • S.E. 8th Avenue from E. Las Olas Boulevard to S.E. 1st Street will be closed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Business and residential traffic south of E. Las Olas Boulevard and west of US1/Federal Highway should use S.E. 3rd Avenue to enter/exit the neighborhood.
  • Business and residential traffic south of E. Las Olas Boulevard and east of US1/Federal Highway should use S.E. 11th Avenue to enter/exit the neighborhood.
  • Any residents who live directly inside a closure will still be allowed to/from their homes.
