Networking breakfast at IKEA Thursday

Looking for a unique way to start your day and meet a dynamic group of people? The Ann Storck Center’s Professionals Group, an auxiliary group of young professionals in Broward County committed to raising awareness and funds for the Ann Storck Center, will be hosting a networking breakfast at IKEA with guest speaker Stacey E. Kovalsky, President of PRO Connective Communications and a behind the scenes tour of the IKEA store.

The Networking Breakfast is being held on February 25 from 8 am  to 9:15 am at IKEA, .  The event will include breakfast, networking, and the tour.  This event is free, but advanced reservations are encouraged.

The Ann Storck Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides services to over 300 children and adults with developmental disabilities.  The Center offers an array of programs and services including specialized residential services, a Preschool Early Intervention Program, and an adult training program which features an award-winning Expressive Arts Program – a collaboration of music therapy and fine art.  The Ann Storck Center has been an essential service provider in Broward County since 1981.  It was named in honor of Ann Storck, a registered nurse, who opened the first group home for children with disabilities in Broward County in the 1950’s.  Her efforts grew to become an organization called the Pediatric Care Center.  When Mrs. Storck passed away, the Pediatric Care Center was reincorporated and renamed in her honor – the Ann Storck Center.
