Murphy’s Law Irish Pub Rallies for Haiti Relief Efforts
Murphy’s Law Irish Pub at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be hosting a Haiti Relief Effort Fundraiser this weekend. Patrons will be charged a $5 cover and all drink proceeds from 6 – 10 p.m. will be donated to the cause. Bartenders from the pub, as well as from other Seminole Paradise clubs and Center Bar inside the Casino, will be donating their time and tips. Murphy’s Law has pledged to match that amount.
The pub will be showcasing DJs and live music as well as the NFL Championship Games broadcast (Saints vs. Vikings and Jets vs. Colts).
Patrons are also encouraged to participate in the Seminole Tribe of Florida and Seminole Gaming “Hearts to Haiti” campaign now underway at Seminole Casino Hollywood and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. Donated items will go to Food for the Poor, the Coconut Creek-based organization with a long history of on-the-ground public service in Haiti.
Additionally, Seminole Gaming has launched the “Seminole Haiti Relief Crank It Up” initiative that encourages restaurant, retail and hotel customers at its casinos to round up their purchase amounts to the next dollar, with their change donated to helping Haiti’s earthquake victims. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are expected to be raised through customer contributions and a guaranteed donation of $100,000 from the Seminole Tribe of Florida will go to support the Earthquake Relief Fund of Yéle Haiti, founded by Grammy-Award winning musician Wyclef Jean. Yéle Haiti has been working on the ground in Haiti since the organization was founded in 2005.
