Coral Springs hosting public meeting on zoning

Coral Springs is hosting a public forum to discuss zoning and the Land Development Code on Tuesday, November 17 at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, Rooms A and B. This forum, which will be held after a brief Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m., is being conducted in response to concerns expressed by the business community regarding the downturn in the economy and the permitted uses and signage regulations in the City’s Land Development Code.

Community Development staff, as well as sign consultants and other outside experts, will provide information regarding the purpose of zoning and how code regulations have been developed and updated since the City was incorporated in 1963. Information on what other cities are doing in attempts to help retain and attract businesses will also be available. Residents and business owners are encouraged to attend and provide input on these issues. For more information, please call 954-344-1028.
