Home Diagnostics, Inc. Wins Governor’s Export Excellence Award

Home Diagnostics, Inc., a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of blood glucose monitoring systems, has received a 2009 Governor’s Export Excellence Award. The award, part of the 2009 Governor’s Business Diversification Awards program, recognizes Home Diagnostics for its international growth and increase in export sales, expansion of the company’s TRUEtest platform for diabetes monitoring, and overall contributions to Florida’s economic diversification and job creation.

Home Diagnostics competed with other companies and organizations throughout Florida at the Mega Market level, which is defined as county populations of 800,001 and higher. The company won the award as a result of its strategic expansion into Latin America and more than 80 percent of the countries of Europe.

The Governor’s Business Diversification Award recognizes exceptional contributions toward statewide economic diversification through job creation and distinctive community involvement and investment. The awards are coordinated by Enterprise Florida Inc., a public-private partnership serving as Florida’s primary organization devoted to statewide economic development.
