New playground in Coconut Creek
City of Coconut Creek Parks & Recreation Department would like to welcome you to the opening of the new interactive outdoor playground located on the south side of the Community Center on Friday, October 9, 2009, at

6:00 pm. This will be followed by our first Home Grown Concert of the season featuring the Ruby Baker Band (R&B, Jazz) beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Band Shell.
Our Parks & Recreation staff will demonstrate tips on how to use the interactive play equipment. Some of the playground features are the NEOS, which is a self-contained electronic gaming play station; Challenger Play Structure, a winding rock climbing adventure; Bean Bag Golf, a golf game with nine greens that spell out c-r-e-e-k-g-o-l-f from an aerial view; two Toss Up basketball games; large Chess and Checkers board game; two Hop Scotch games; Tetherball game; Flip Flop; Vortex; U-Bounce and Lift Me Up. This playground will provide healthy activity and an exciting new recreation space for our community.
