Brinks’ employee shot in Dania Beach
Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are working
together to catch three people involved in the shooting of a Brink’s employee during an apparent attempted armed robbery.
BSO deputies responded to the report of a shooting Tuesday morning in the Merrill Industrial Center in Dania Beach. They found one Brink’s employee shot with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Dania Beach Fire Rescue workers treated the man on scene and transported him to Broward General Medical Center.
Witnesses and evidence found at the scene indicate there were multiple shots fired during the incident. Shortly afterward, an older-model, blue van was found abandoned and on fire about a block away. Investigators believe it may be a suspect vehicle.
Investigators are searching for the three suspects who got away. They were wearing dark clothing and masks. Brink’s is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people involved in this incident.
