Man in jail after brutal machete attack
The Broward County man who violently attacked his girlfriend earlier this week is now at the Broward Sheriff’s Main Jail facing attempted murder charges.

Cristhian Josue Ramos-Murillo
The night of June 8, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a North Lauderdale home where a man and a woman were found in a pool of blood. It appears the man who lives at the residence, 21-year-old Cristhian Josue Ramos-Murillo, was at the house with his love interest, 42-year-old Jacqueline Yulfo, when, for reasons yet unknown, he began to attack her with a machete. Yulfo suffered severe injuries throughout her body and had to be airlifted by BSO helicopter to the North Broward Medical Center.
As Yulfo was being carried away by paramedics, she identified Ramos-Murillo as her attacker. North Lauderdale Fire Rescue transported the suspect to the North Broward Medical Center to treat self-inflicted wounds sustained during the attacked.
Yulfo is still in critical condition at NBMC. Ramos-Murillo was released from the hospital last night (June 11) and was transported to the Main Jail where he’s being held on the no bond charge of attempted murder.
Ramos-Murillo has the identifying tattoo of “M.O.B.” across his neck. The investigation continues.
