Job forum and career workshops June 23
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, 5.1 million jobs have been lost, since December 2007 with almost two-thirds (3.3 million) of the decrease occurring in the last 5 months. Consequently, Career Strategies For Success: The Pursuit To Put People To Work (Outreach Initiative), strives to decrease these unemployment figures, by proactively and effectively communicating, channeling, sharing, exposing and distributing (Career Relevant) information, education and resources to strengthen (local) jobseekers and residents professional development, job hunting and career enhancing skills.
Career Strategies For Success: The Pursuit To Put People To Work Mass Workshop & Forum will take place on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Signature Grand located at 6900 State Road 84 Davie, Florida 33317. In addition, Career Strategies For Success: The Pursuit To Put People To Work Mass Workshop & Forum will feature a plethora of Career Experts, Stimulus Plan Expert Advisors, Human Resource Professionals, Local Jobseekers, Recruiters, Community Resource Advocates, Education Counselors, Compensation Benefits Specialists and Career Consultants- who will present and share information that will closely evaluate and inform local jobseekers and residents on topics such as:
- Job and training opportunities created by President Obama’s Stimulus Package and how to assess if you qualify for these opportunities
- Developing your Career Survival Plan: Preparing for the possibility of losing your job in a weak economy
- How to successfully return to the job market, after retirement
- Employee benefits when you leave your job; Find-out about the employment related benefits that you maybe eligible for when you resign, get fired or get laid-off from your job
