U.S. Rep. Ron Klein has new Web site
Your local U.S. representative Ron Klein, who represents a large swath of eastern Broward County, has launched a new Web site intended to provide you with information and open lines of communication. Here is a letter from him. Let me know what you think of his site, good or bad.
Dear Friends,
This week, I launched a new website to better serve you. My website, which you can visit at www.klein.house.gov, will provide access to real-time information from Washington and South Florida. I hope you will visit the website today and sign up for regular email updates through the e-newsletter feature so that we can better communicate about the critical issues that face our community and our country.
Our new website features a special section on the economy, with links to the how-to manuals my office prepared on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. These manuals provide valuable details on applying for competitive grants and receiving tax relief under the Recovery Act. The economy section also features important links to federal, state and local agencies working to create jobs and reduce foreclosures to turn our economy around.
In addition to supplying up-to-the-minute information on the economy, our new website provides a variety of ways to stay current on the latest events in Washington and South Florida. The new website contains a calendar feature, where I will announce upcoming events of interest to the community. I hope you will check this feature regularly and join us for events in your city or town. The website also includes an RSS feed, where you can subscribe to timely updates of our news releases, as well as photo and video galleries of recent events.
Our website also includes a variety of constituent service features, from booking a tour in Washington, D.C. or ordering a flag that has flown over the U.S. Capitol to requests for help with federal programs, such as veterans’ benefits, Social Security payments and Medicare reimbursements. If you are experiencing difficulties with any of these agencies, please contact me through the website and our experienced, professional caseworkers will be glad to assist you.
I encourage all South Floridians to visit our new website at www.klein.house.gov . I hope that you will find the website helpful, and that you will use the “contact me” feature to send an email with your thoughts, ideas and suggestions on our new website.
Warmest Regards,
