Town hall meeting March 18 on Hollywood Beach

Hollywood residents are invited to participate in a Town Hall meeting to be hosted by District 1 City Commissioner Patricia Asseff in cooperation with the Hollywood Beach Civic Association, Condos of Hollywood Beach, Hollywood North Beach Association and the Hollywood Beach Business Association.  This meeting will take place at the Garfield Street Community Center,  2nd Floor, 300 Connecticut Street, adjacent to the Garfield Street Parking Garage.

Residents will have the opportunity to hear updates from City and Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Staff on a number of topics including the undergrounding of utilities on Hollywood Beach; the new temporary park at Johnson Street; the hotel and property improvement programs; the eradication of blight; the new  Commercial Property Search system and the City budget for the upcoming fiscal year.  Broward County Vice Mayor Sue Gunzburger will also be on hand to discuss improvements to West Lake Park and beach renourishment.

Additionally, Commissioner Asseff is seeking feedback from residents on the issues of handicapped accessibility on the beach and allowing pet dogs in outdoor dining areas.
