Commercial Blvd. corridor study meeting in Oakland Park

Live near East Commercial Blvd? Own a business or home between NE 6th Avenue and Andrews Ave. south of NE 51 St. in Oakland Park? If so, you might want to come to the “COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD CORRIDOR STUDY COMMUNITY MEETING.”

The City of Oakland Park is hosting the meeting Wednesday, July 28, 6:30 p.m. at The Jaco Pastorius Park Community Center, 1098 N.E. 40th Court, Oakland Park.

The meeting is to provide allbusinesses, residents, and property owners an opportunity to discuss the “Commercial Boulevard Corridor Study”. The study focuses on the properties north of Commercial Boulevard, south of N.E. 51st Street, west of N.E. 6th Avenue, and east of North Andrews Avenue. The purpose of the corridor study is to evaluate the existing conditions of this area and the opportunities and constraints for redevelopment. The study will also evaluate the existing development and use potential within the current B-1 Zoning District, and propose recommendations to support redevelopment while striving to maintain a balance and relative compatibility with the surrounding residential areas.
