Third person killed in Tamarac house fire identified

Hospital records have helped identify the remaining victim of a fatal fire that engulfed a Tamarac home on November 15.

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives have confirmed the identity of the female victim as 27-year-old Julia Burnette of Coral Springs.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on November 15, the BSO Communication Center received 911 reports of a residential fire in the 6000 block of Woodland Point Drive in Tamarac. Units from Tamarac Fire Rescue, BSO Fire Rescue and other neighboring fire departments responded to the scene.

Twenty-six-year-old Daniel Arnodo, who lived at the house, also died in the blaze. A third victim, 27-year-old Nicholas Figueroa, was transported to Florida Medical Center where he was treated for smoke inhalation. Figueroa did not live at the home of the fatal fire.

Friends and family gathered at the home Saturday night, November 14, for a birthday party and to watch the Pacquiao/Cotto boxing match.

Investigators said the fire does not appear to be suspicious, but it does remain under investigation.
