The Boychick Affair – the Bar Mitzvah of Harry Boychick coming to Seminole Casino Coconut Creek fresh from Broadway premier

You are cordially invited to attend the wannabe gangsta rapper, Harry Boychick, at his bar mitzvah with dysfunctional friends, the Teitelbaums and Grossmans, his family including lascivious grandmother, aging hippie uncle, woman-crazed cousin, and dad who proudly announces he hired the DJ from Craigslist, along with a presiding pregnant lesbian rabbi.

The Boychick Affair comes to Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on Sat., Oct. 17 and Sun., 18 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 at the casino cashier’s cage. Cost includes a buffet dinner.

“We’re back from New York in a new venue to bring the same laughter, dancing, food, and family fun,” said Amy Lord, writer, director, and show star as Harry’s “MILF of the Year Award” mom.

You don’t have to be Jewish to have fun at this show. From the ceremony to the zany reception, the interactive audience becomes part of the comedic drama as it unfolds through familiar Jewish rituals. Family members become more and more inebriated and eventually begin squabbling and hilariously expose their darkest secrets.

“Our actors improvise and hope the audience gets involved to at least dance and eat, but we never cross the line and push audience members to interact if they don’t want to. You only need one or two in the audience to interact to make it fun for everyone,” she said.

Lord also holds the unique distinction of having starred in Tony and Tina’s Wedding and Grandma Sylvia’s Funeral, making her the only actress to have starred in the two most successful interactive shows in theatrical history. She wrote Boychick based on the actual “disastrous” Bar Mitzvah of one of her own six children.

Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek offers more than 1,500 gaming machines including Las Vegas-style slots: Playboy, Carnival of Mystery, Golden Monkey, Millionaire Sevens, Mayan Riches and Lion Dance, wide area progressive slot machines: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Dirty Harry, Time Machine, and Monopoly, and new theme games: Star Trek, Dean Martin, Hot Hot Penny, and Reel ‘Em In.

The casino also features non-stop action in its smoke-free Poker Room upstairs for separate gaming pleasure, with a wide array of tournaments for all types of players. Live games include Texas Hold ’em, 7-Card Stud, and Omaha tournaments from $85 to $1,050.  In March 2007, a $32 million expansion included the addition of a valet porte cochere entrance offering direct access to the new 6,000 square foot Fresh Harvest restaurant, Nectar ultra-lounge, a new Players Club, and additional casino space. The casino also offers the Sunset Grill, located in an outdoor traditional chickee.

Seminole Casino Coconut Creek is located at 5550 NW 40th Street, in Coconut Creek, Florida, just east of State Road 7 (U.S. 441) and north of Sample Road on 40th Street.  For more information call fax or visit www.seminolecoconutcreekcasino.com.
