Libraries Host Seminars on How to Apply for Public Assistance

Broward County Libraries Division Outreach Services will present a series of seminars on applying for public assistance, such as food stamps, Medicaid, and temporary cash. The programs will offer residents the opportunity to speak directly to representatives from public and private organizations that can provide help and assistance during these troubled economic times. The seminar will be offered in four locations:

Saturday, October 24, 10:30 a.m. to noon
West Regional Library
8601 W. Broward Blvd., Plantation

Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 6 to 8 p.m.
Lauderhill Mall Library
4257 N.W. 12th St., Lauderhill

Monday, November 9, 6 to 8 p.m.
South Regional Library/BC Library
7300 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines

Saturday, November 14, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
South Regional Library/BC Library
7300 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines
