Hollywood to Welcome Inbound Trade Mission from Costa Rica on Tuesday, October 20

The City of Hollywood in partnership with the Florida Foreign Trade Association and the Broward Alliance will host a group of business owners and representatives from Costa Rica on Tuesday, October 20, 2009.  A welcome ceremony for the delegation will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Hollywood City Hall, in Room 219, located at 2600 Hollywood Boulevard.

The Delegation companies will arrive in Hollywood on Tuesday morning to purchase the following items and services:  automotive parts and accessories, cleaning supplies, pool supplies, clothing and accessories, food products and supplies, appliances, computers, construction supplies, veterinary equipment, manufacturing equipment including pumps and more.

From 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the visiting business owners and representatives will have the opportunity to meet in one-on-one sessions with local companies at the Garfield Street Community Center, 300 Connecticut Street, on Hollywood beach. “Our goal is to provide Hollywood businesses with access to emerging global markets. We hope our international trade initiatives will lead to increased import/export opportunities, tourism and the establishment of corporate offices in Hollywood,” says Arline Hampton, City of Hollywood Business and Economic Development Director.
