Clydey Foundation kicking off Winterfest Boat Parade

It’ll be a doggone good time on Saturday, December 11 as friends of the Clydey Foundation, pet lovers and community members partake in Winterfest and cruise aboard “The Caprice,” the Official Centennial Showboat in the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest 2010 Boat Parade benefiting The Clydey Foundation.

In celebration of the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Centennial, The Clydey Foundation’s Showboat will lead the boat parade with a full Cirque Dreams show on top! Also joining The Clydey Foundation for the night is the Mayor of Fort Lauderdale, Jack Seiler and other prestigious guests.

The action-packed evening kicks off at 6 p.m. and includes a sumptuous dinner buffet, open bar and hors d’oeuvres with entertainment and a special performance by Cirque Dreams throughout the evening. Tickets are $150 per person.

The Clydey Foundation operates a 30-foot mobile clinic that serves as a Community Outreach Center for Broward County, offering low cost spaying and neutering, testing, vaccinations and micro-chipping for dogs and cats.

“The Clydey Foundation is honored to lead the boat parade,” said Sharon Jacobson, the founder of the Clydey Foundation.  “The money that we raise will help us provide affordable pet care throughout the tri-county area.”

The nationally renowned Winterfest Boat Parade is a spectacular sight where a dazzling flotilla of yachts and boats promenade along the Intracoastal Waterway through Fort Lauderdale.

“Many people can’t afford to provide quality care for their pets during the economic down-turn,” said Sharon Jacobson, the founder of the Clydey Foundation.  “Now you can help the animals and at the same time have a spectacular evening being a part of Winterfest and celebrating on the Official Centennial Showboat.”
