2010 Run Wild for the Environment in Fort Lauderdale

Register for the 2010 Run/Walk Wild Event and have a tree planted in your name. The Kids Ecology Corps has pledged to plant a tree for each person who registers for the 2010 Run/Walk Wild for the Environment Event November 21st in Snyder Park, Fort Lauderdale. Trees planted so far, 50, be number 51!

Mix 1 Life will be at the Walk/Run providing free drinks for everyone. If you are participating you will receive a free reusable water bottle or a Kids Ecology Corps T-Shirt. The Kids Ecology Corps also encourages registering as a “Green Team”.

5K Walk/Run (All ages) Begins @ 8:00 am  3.1 miles  USATF Certified

Youth 1K Walk/Run (Ages 7 to 14) Begins @ 9:00 am  Timed

Toddler Trot (Ages 6 and under) Begins @ 9:30 am

Location: Snyder Park, 3299 Southwest 4th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 (Just north of the Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport) Directions: From I-95 take Exit 25, SR 84 East/Marina Mile: Go approximately 2 miles: Turn right on SW 4th. Street; Go 1 mile and the entrance to Snyder Park will be on the right hand side of the road, follow event signs.

Description of the Event: Run Wild for the Environment at Snyder Park in support of the Kids Ecology Corps will be a wild good time!  Run the 5K and then hang out for breakfast and plant a tree in Snyder Park.

Entry Fees: 5K Run / Walk (Adult) – $30.00

5K Run / Walk (Youth – Age 17 and Under) – $20.00

1K Youth Run / Walk (Youth Age 7 to 14) – $10.00

Toddler Tot – Free, you do not need to pre-register for the Toddler Tot

A $5 surcharge will be applied to the above prices if you wait to register until raceday.

Chip timing: The 5K Run and 1K Youth Run will be professionally chip timed by AccuChipUSA, Inc.

Awards: 5K Run – Top Three overall Male/Female; Top Masters Male/Female and Top Three Male/Female in each Age Division.    Kids – Participation awards for all kids.

Age Group Categories: 5K Run- Age 10-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.   Kids Run- Age 7-8, Age 9-10, Age 11-12 and then Age 13-14.

Commemorative T-shirts: Included in the price.
