Sheridan Tech. Center Online Courses Attracting Variety of Students

Did you know you could train to become an administrative assistant or a court reporter without leaving your home?  It is possible to do just that, by enrolling in an online technical class offered through Sheridan Technical Center, and hundreds of people are taking advantage of the opportunity.

Enrollment has not been limited to those living in Broward County.  Military personnel stationed overseas, their spouses and persons living as far away as Tallahassee and the Bahamas have all benefited from this unique educational opportunity.

In addition, students currently attending high school can pursue a technical career via one of the online courses through Technical Dual Enrollment.

Sheridan offers a variety of technical courses, some of which can be completed entirely online and others that are “blended courses” combining online leaning with limited classroom instruction.

Courses offered include: Air Conditioning Refrigeration and Heating Technology; Network Systems Support; Accounting Operations; Automotive Service Technology, Administrative Assistant; Legal Administrative Specialist; Court Reporting; Medical Coder/Biller and Medical Record Transcribing.
