City of Hollywood launches recycling reward program

The City of Hollywood and RecycleBank celebrate the launch of an exciting new single-stream recycling rewards program coming to 32,000 households in Hollywood. Mayor Peter Bober and members of the City Commission will help launch the new program at a kick-off event and demonstration on Monday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m. The City and RecyleBank will show how the new program works to measure, record and reward households based on the amount they recycle. Representatives from RecycleBank, including company Vice President Fred Hannon, will be on hand to answer questions and explain how the unique rewards program works. The community is invited to attend and refreshments will be provided by local reward partners including Ocean Alley, The Little Bakery, Dandee Donuts and Vocelli Pizza .

Hollywood is the first city in Broward County and the largest city in the southeastern United States to partner with RecycleBank. Already a success in 24 states and the United Kingdom, RecycleBank encourages people to recycle by rewarding households with Points for their efforts. These Points are redeemable at local and national retailers, restaurants, grocers, and more.
