4th Annual World Salsa Championships to Take Place December 17-19 at Hard Rock Live

The 4th Annual World Salsa Championships will take place December 17-19 at at the . Tickets go on sale Friday, October 9 at noon.

This competition, featuring the finest salsa dancers from more than 30 countries, will be televised worldwide. Dancers will compete for top honors and cash prizes in four distinct and exciting dance categories – On 1 (L.A. Style), which emphasizes the first beat of the music, On 2 (New York Style), which emphasizes the second beat, Cabaret, which combines traditional salsa dancing with tricks, lifts and flips, and Team, where between six and twenty dancers perform cabaret-style.

Countries represented include the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Korea, Japan, China, Israel, Morocco, France, Germany, Sweden, Bulgaria, Spain and Australia

Following each night’s competition the dance floor will be opened up to the audience for dancing to top salsa bands. Dancing seminars led by top salsa instructors will also take place during the four-day event.  Classes in all levels, from beginner to advanced, will allow first-time dancers to learn to dance salsa and professionals to improve their skills.

The Annual World Salsa Championships was founded in 2005 by The Salsa Seven Inc. under the leadership of salsa celebrity Albert Torres. The show is being produced by 12-time Emmy winner Rob Beiner, a sports and entertainment telecast veteran with credits on cable, network and pay-per-view television including major networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, USA Network and ESPN. His successful production and direction career includes seven Olympic Games, notable Boxing Championship Fights, NCAA Basketball and Football, and ABC’s Wide World of Sports.

Tickets cost $90, $75, $60, $50 & $40*; all seats are reserved and available at the Hard Rock Live Box Office, open Monday – Saturday from noon to 7pm and on Sunday – only open on event days at noon.
