Broward killer arrested in Texas

Bianca Sierra’s young son and daughter were the ones who found her body. Her boyfriend had fractured her skull with a sledge hammer, left her body in the bed they shared and took off in her car. Detectives found her Mazda  five days later in Jacksonville, but Jorge Villamizar-Ayala seemed to have disappeared.

But an America’s Most Wanted viewer recently called in a tip about Villamizar-Ayala’s location, and authorities tracked him down Friday night to Brownsville, Texas and arrested him at 10:35 p.m. as he walked out of Camino Del Rio Pentecostal Church. Villamizar-Ayala gave the U.S. Marshals who arrested him a fake name, but fingerprints proved they had the right man.

“I want to congratulate BSO detectives, the U.S. Marshals and America’s Most Wanted,” Sheriff Al Lamberti said. “It took a lot of people working together to get an extremely dangerous criminal off the streets.”

Sierra’s son was 6 and her daughter was 9 when they jimmied the lock on their mother’s bedroom door and found her body. They ran to a next door neighbor’s apartment for help. A blood-spattered sledge hammer was in a bucket in a hall closet.

BSO Homicide detectives extradited Villamizar-Ayala Monday evening from Texas to Broward County, where he will face charges of 1st-degree murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. He is also wanted for DUI in Miami-Dade, attempted murder in New York, homicide in Cali, Colombia, offenses of life, liberty and sexual morals in Bogota, Colombia and aggravated assault on a minor and sexual assault on a minor in Houston, Texas.

Can someone tell me how this “illegal” with the criminal history he had can live in this state and go undetected and fly under the radar until AFTER he kills someone else. For God’s sake, we are the Main Hub for a Myriad of Federal Law Enforcment Agencies right here in South Florida and they can’t seem to cross over one county into another to rid the streets of these guys?..Billions and Billions of dollars are funding these agencies and Florida still attracts and maintains the worst of the Worst..People you arent getting your monies worth here..
