WED July 1st – FRI July 31st Come to the Parkland Library this July and enter the Miami Dolphins Foundation coloring contest. Winner and runners up will receive prizes! [More Info]

Creative Kids: Craft & Cookies: WED July 8th (Ages 8 And Up) Become an artist and create a masterpiece using colored sand instead of crayons or paint. [More Info]

Pirate For A Day: MON July 13th (Ages 3 And Up) Ahoy maties! Come aboard the Parkland Library pirate ship wearing your pirate attire or shipwrecked outfit. Hear pirate stories, search for buried treasure, and make a pirate craft. [More Info] Tales to Tails: FRI(s) on July 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st (Ages 5 to 12) Come to the Parkland Library and read to Leyna. Children can gain confidence in their reading skills by reading to a pet therapy dog. [More Info]

New Playground Begins Construction At Terramar Park

The 5-12 year old playground at Terramar Park is currently closed in order for the City to complete renovations of the area and install a new playground. The new playground will be opened by August 31st. Summer Recreation Program Registration (Parkland Kids Camp and Parkland Teen Camp) The Parks and Recreation Department is presently accepting registration for the Summer Recreation Program for both residents and non-residents. The Parkland Summer Recreation Kids and Teen Program are for children ages 5-14. Registration forms and camp calendars may be downloaded at the city website or picked up at the Parkland Amphitheater. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Spots fill quickly, so register early. Registration may be down in person or by mail at this time. The campsites are Park Trails & Westglades for the Elementary Camp and Westglades for the Teen Camp. [More Info]

Summer Extended Camp Program MON AUG 10th – FRI AUG 14th The summer recreation extended camp program is offered for children ages 5-13 (kindergarten through 7th grade). Field trips are planned for these days such as, Miami Seaquarium, Wannado City, Jumpster, waterpark, Plaster Castle, etc. The fee per week is $165.00 for residents and $185.00 for non-residents. This fee includes admission, transportation aboard an air-conditioned motor coach bus, snack, and supervision. . All trips are supervised by The City of Parkland Summer Recreation Staff. The program hours are 8:00AM-4:00PM. The drop off and pick up location is at Pine Trails Park. Advance registration is required. Spots are limited to 50 participants. [More Info]

City of Parkland 4th of July Bicycle Parade: SAT July 4th The City of Parkland is inviting all families out to the 4th of July Annual Bicycle Parade held at Terramar Park. Bring your bike decorated in patriotic colors and parade around the park while the judges’ award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes to the most Patriotic bicycles. [More Info]
