The Musical "Something's Afoot" Opens April 12 at Caldwell – KIDS SEE SHOW FOR FREE

Caldwell Theatre Company’s murder mystery musical Something’s Afoot opens April 12, 2009 and runs through May 17, and kids ages 10-17 see the show for free (see terms below*).

Spoofing Agatha Christie’s 1939 novel “Ten Little Indians” and other British thrillers, this musical is set in 1935 on a dark and stormy night.  The 10 guests of Lord Dudley Rancour arrive at his English country estate to find that not only is the host dead, but their lives are in danger.  This “enchanting spoof” (New York Daily News) will keep audiences guessing whodunit as the determined guests attempt to unmask the murderer among them.

Young people ages 10-17 can see Something’s Afoot for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m., plus Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. (on April 19 and April 26).  Two kids go free with every paying adult, and two paying adults may bring four kids for free.

This musical mystery spoof of Agatha Christie’s plays is entirely suitable for children ages 10 through 17.  It has a tuneful score, funny sight gags, a large and very colorful setting, and a top notch cast.  Adults purchasing a full-priced ticket will receive two free tickets (per adult) to the same show for children ages 10-17.  Complimentary tickets MUST be used by children 10-17.  Theater personnel may ask to see identification of child at the door.  Parents should use their discretion based on the maturity levels of their children.
