In honor of Children’s Week, Florida’s Education Commissioner Dr. Eric J. Smith will attend the Hanging of the Hands Dedication Ceremony tomorrow at the Capitol.  Students and teachers across Florida created thousands of decorated paper cut-outs which will remain in the Capitol Rotunda for the duration of Children’s Week. hundreds of partner organization and, advocates have joined together to recognize the efforts of teachers, parents and children and dedicate the children’s hand art display to the Florida Legislature.

Children’s Week is supported by more than 80 non-profit, corporate, public, philanthropic and faith-based agencies and organizations.  In honor of this annual observance, thousands of parents, children, policy makers, education professionals, community leaders, and citizens throughout the state share valuable knowledge and information about issues impacting children and their families.
