The death of a four-year-old Coral Springs boy who overdosed on sleeping pills has been ruled a homicide. Nicholas Odze was found in his bed unresponsive and not breathing on Sept. 10, 2009 and was transported to Coral Springs Medical Center by Coral Springs Fire Rescue who attempted to intubate and revive him.

Ft. Lauderdale police investigating police-involved shooting
Update Dec. 29 at 9:12 a.m. The suspect from the police involved shooting has been identified as Allen Bryant, B/M, 03/27/1978. Bryant has a substantial criminal history, which includes charges for Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, Strong-arm robbery, Aggravated Assault with a firearm, and shooting into a vehicle/building.

On December 21, 2009, at 1a.m. Wilton Manors Police Officers responded to three calls of shots fired in the 2300 block of NW 9 Terrace. The suspect’s car alarm went off, and the owner retrieved a .45 caliber semi-auto handgun from inside his home and went outside to investigate.

Homicide fugitive caught after 9.5 years
