FEC RR CROSSING ON HILLSBORO BLVD. TO BE CLOSED Dec. 5-8

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL — The Florida East Coast (FEC) railroad crossing on State Road 810/Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach will be closed to all eastbound and westbound vehicular and pedestrian traffic from 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) officials report.

The closure is necessary for track, rail and crossing surface work to widen Hillsboro Boulevard.  This widening is part of the $39.5 million Dixie Highway Flyover project.

During the closure eastbound Hillsboro Boulevard traffic will be detoured south on Dixie Highway, east on S.E. 4 Street and north on S.E. 2 Avenue.  Westbound Hillsboro Boulevard traffic will  be detoured southbound on S.E. 2 Avenue, west on S.E. 4 Street and north on Dixie Highway.
