Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale’s October 15 FREE Third Thursday Event: Special Screening of Award Winning Film “Play The Game”

WHAT:

The Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University, continues its FREE Third Thursday monthly event series with a special screening of “Play The Game” the 2008 Winner of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival’s Audience Award.

The 105 minute film features a cast of Andy Griffith, Paul Campbell, Doris Roberts, Marla Sokoloff, Liz Sheridan and Clint Howard staring in a romantic comedy about a young ladies’ man who teaches his dating tricks to his lonely, widowed grandfather, and they both meet the woman of their dreams.  As a special treat for attendees, the closing credits feature Andy Griffith as never been seen before.  

In addition to the evening’s film showing, the Museum offers free admission, extended hours (open until 8 p.m.) and drinks available for purchase in the Museum’s Café and Wine Bar.

Current Museum exhibitions include With You I Want to Live along with the Museum’s permanent collections The Spectacle of Life: The Art of William Glackens, CoBrA and The Indigo Room or Is Memory Water Soluble?

ABOUT THE MUSEUM OF ART | FORT LAUDERDALE

The Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, Nova Southeastern University, is open Tuesday – Saturday 11 am – 5 pm with extended hours on Thursday until 8 pm, Sundays 12 pm – 5 pm and closed on Mondays.   The Museum of Art is located at One East Las Olas Boulevard at Andrews Avenue in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The Studio Arts Creative Art Academy for adults and students (grades 1 to 12) offers a 10-week program, taught by professional artists.
