Workshop April 1 in Davie on impact fees
The Davie Town Council is hosting a workshop to discuss impact fees Wednesday, April 1 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 6591 Orange Drive, Davie.
Impact fees are fees implemented by a commission, whether city or county, to offset the costs of utilities, schools and other infrastructure expenses. Essentially, impact fees would require developers to pay fees to a municipality in order to be allowed to develop a property. The fees would then be used for roads, water improvements, schools, or other needs that might be impacted by the new development like traffic control or police.
Any person wishing to appeal any decision made by this board or committee with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing will need a record of the proceedings, and, for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is made.
Persons with disabilities requiring accommodations in order to participate should contact the Town Clerk at 797-1023 at least five business days prior to a meeting to request such accommodation. If you are hearing or speech impaired, please contact the Florida Relay Service by using the following numbers: 1-800-955-8770 (voice) or 1-800-955-8771 (TDD).
