Sweetwater, FL – Over 800 toys were purchased with the help of Mayor Manny Marono, City of Sweetwater Commissioners, Miami Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz and donations.
Commissioner Diaz has volunteered to be Santa and will be landing in Sweetwater’s Ronselli Park, 250 SW 114th Ave., in a Miami Dade County Police helicopter at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15.
This is the tenth year Sweetwater has held the Santa Toy Giveaway for its residents.
There will be new unwrapped toys for children ages 3 to 14, separated by age group and sex. Each child will be given one toy and the child must be present. Children will have the opportunity to take a picture with Santa but parents must bring their own cameras. The toy giveaway is for Sweetwater residents and residents from surrounding areas.
