Add a few new recipes to your collection while raising money for a local charity. On March 21, from 7-9 p.m., The Heart of the Olive (soon to The Heart of the Gourmet) is hosting Chef Jeff Milner of FLIPANY, a non-profit’s whose mission is to empower youth and their families through physical activity and nutrition education programs (www.flipany.org).
Chef Milner will show you how to quickly make custom salad dressings with fig, caramel and blueberry balsamics. Then find out how to mix up a white truffle oil and garlic pasta with cherry tomatoes and parmesan. Complete your meal with a delicious fruit salad using blood orange oil for that extra flavorful zing. There is a suggested donation of $20 for the two-hour cooking class and all funds will go to FLIPANY (Florida Introduces Physical Activity and Nutrition to Youth). Call 754-222-8071 to RSVP. There are limited spots available.
This event is sponsored by The Heart of The Olive, BNETGraphics.com and FLIPANY. The Heart of the Olive is located at 816 North Federal Highway, Pompano Beach.
If it comes from the heart, it has to be good!
