Boil water alert lifted in eight South #Broward cities

Broward County Water and Wastewater Services customers in service area 3A and 3BC affecting West Park, Pembroke Park, the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Florida Power and Light and parts of Dania Beach, Hollywood, Miramar **, Pembroke Pines** and Town of Davie can now stop boiling their water.Consecutive day bacteriological sampling, following a detection of E. coli bacteria in one well in southeastern Broward County, has resulted in a determination that potable water is safe for drinking. The June 12, 2013 precautionary boil water notice for affected areas of Broward County has been lifted.
Customers were advised to boil water after a sample from a Broward County well tested positive for the E-coli bacteria. The boil water order was imposed as a precaution.

Customers affected by the boil water order are being notified.
