Nothing says “happy holidays” like an ugly Christmas sweater.  On December 20th folks flaunted the ugliest festive frocks they can find to celebrate the holidays at Mickey Byrne’s Irish Pub in Hollywood.  The party included an open bar, live music, and prizes for the ugliest Christmas sweater.

Admission for this festive evening was a $10 donation to Gilda’s Club South Florida at the door.  All proceeds support Gilda’s Club South Florida programs for men, women, and children touched by cancer.

“We’re so thankful for our partnership with Mickey Byrne’s Irish Pub.  It’s these community partnerships that enable us to keep our support programs and workshops available to our members free of charge,” shared Shelley Goren, Gilda’s Club South Florida CEO.

“Supporting charities, such as Gilda’s Club, has always been really important to me, especially during the holidays” said Mark Rowe, owner of Mickey Byrne’s Irish Pub.  “It was great to provide an opportunity where people can celebrate the season and also give back to others.”
