2012 Annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night® Broward Walk – Saturday, November 3, 2012
The 2012 annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night® Broward Walk, which raises funds for blood cancer research and provide support to patients and their families, will take place Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 5-8pm at Huizenga Plaza.
More than 3,300 walkers and 440 teams are registered to attend the Broward Light the Night® Walk being chaired by Calvin E. Glidewell, Jr., CEO of Broward General Medical Center and the Chris Evert Children’s Hospital. Light The Night® Walk events are evenings filled with inspiration. During this leisurely walk, participants carry illuminated balloons – white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer – thousands of walkers – men, women and children – form a community of caring, bringing light to the dark world of cancer.
