By Donna Thomas, BrowardNetOnline.com Meteorologist - Nadine has finally become a hurricane, despite struggling against significant wind shear. As of 5 am Saturday, Nadine was located at 30.7 North, 51.4 West, with maximum sustained winds estimated at 75 miles per hour.  Nadine is moving northeast at 15 miles per hour.  It’s expected to weaken slightly before making its closest approach to the Azores late Wednesday or early Thursday.

The tropical wave in the central Atlantic is now about 800 miles east of the Windward Islands.  The National Hurricane Center gives the wave a low chance of becoming a depression this weekend.
