They ordered Spicy Chicken McBites, Chicken McNuggets and a Quarter Pounder with cheese – no pickles, no onions, and they paid with a victim’s credit card. Detectives want to identify the four suspects seen on surveillance video hoping it will help them solve a three-day, 15-burglary crime spree in Dania Beach.
From August 20 to August 23, detectives had 15 burglaries to vehicles and houses spanning the area from Stirling Road to Sheridan Street along Federal Highway. All the burglaries took place between 7 a.m. and noon. Investigators say the suspects broke in and took whatever they could get their hands on: electronics, a shotgun, in one case, cash or anything of value.
Detectives are releasing surveillance video of the suspected thieves about 30 minutes after burglarizing a home in the 300 block of southwest 15 Street on Aug. 23 and using the victim’s credit card to quell their hunger at a nearby McDonald’s.
The suspects all appear to be in their late teens to early 20s. They all wore shorts and dark-color shirts or tank tops. Two of the suspects have dreadlocks and a third appeared to be hiding his dreadlocks under a cloth cap. The fourth suspect has on a skull cap.
Anyone with information about the suspects’ identities or with information about the crime spree should contact BSO Detective Christopher DeGiovanni at 954-518-0154 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or www.browardcrimestoppers.org.
A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
