Felipe Alex Torrealba May Be Traveling With Girlfriend And Two Children
Broward Sheriff’s Office - A man wanted in connection with a murder in Broward County and a police-involved shooting in Miami-Dade is on the run again after Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives and U.S. Marshals tracked him to a southwest Florida home.
Felipe Alex Torrealba, 26, left the Lehigh Acres home just before members of the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Task Force arrived Thursday night. Detectives believe he fled the area with his girlfriend, 22-year-old Dayana Garcia, and two children – a 5-year-old boy and a 4-month-old girl.
They may be driving a rented, grey Mercedes C300 with a Texas tag of CD7 P374. Torrealba has gold teeth and tattoos covering both arms. The name Jillian is tattooed on the left side of his neck and the name Alex is on his chest. Detectives believe he may be selling drugs to make money. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Torrealba is wanted for questioning in the homicide of 42-year-old Kris Smalls of Weston. Smalls was reported missing March 18 and was found dead in his SUV a week later in Weston. Torrealba has a history of arrests and also has warrants for his arrest in Broward and Miami-Dade on unrelated charges. He made headlines in January when he prompted Sweetwater Police officers to shoot at him as he fled after a traffic stop. Officers had stopped him for driving a stolen car that was driving erratically and discovered that he had warrants on narcotics and assault charges. Torrealba fled and was hit in the ear by an officer’s bullet.
Anyone with information about Torrealba’s whereabouts should dial 9-1-1, call BSO Homicide Det. Valerian Perez at (954) 321-4210 or report information anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (866) 493-TIPS (8477) toll free or ONLINE.
