HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Dennis DeYoung, former singer and songwriter of Chicago-based rock group STYX, will perform the band’s greatest hits of the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on August 20, 2012 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday, August 4 at noon.
As a founding member of STYX, DeYoung wrote and sang lead on seven of the band’s eight Top 10 hits. The legendary singer, songwriter, keyboardist, composer and record producer has a career spanning over 40 years.
SEMINOLE CASINO COCONUT CREEK PRESENTS TWO NIGHTS WITH MULTITALENTED ENTERTAINER RODNEY CARRINGTON TO BENEFIT CHARITY
Laugh for a good cause as Seminole Casino Coconut Creek presents two nights with stand-up comedian, actor and country music artist Rodney Carrington at The Pavilion. Proceeds from these events will benefit The Rodney Carrington Foundation, a non-profit organization created by Carrington and his wife, Terri, to help those in need.
In addition to his stand-up acts, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek is offering a chance to golf with Carrington on Saturday, August 11 at 9 a.m. at Woodmont Country Club, located at 7801 NW 80th Avenue in Tamarac. In 1992, Weezer had their first practice session in Los Angeles. Since then, they have released nine full‐length albums, six EPs, and a DVD, selling over nine million records in the United States.
Their debut album, Weezer (aka “The Blue Album”), produced by The Cars’ Ric Ocasek, has been certified triple platinum in the United States, and remains the band’s all‐time best seller. With help from the Spike Jonze‐directed video, the single “Undone (The Sweater Song)” became a hit in the fall of 1994.
