South Plantation High School Graduate in Top 20 on “So You Think You Can Dance”

Tiffany Maher, a 2011 graduate of South Plantation High School’s Environmental Magnet Program is in the top 20 on the Fox Television Network’s show “So You Think You Can Dance.” Maher was salutatorian of her class at South Plantation and was involved in DECA (a national student marketing association), cheerleading and the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society.
Maher’s Broward County Public Schools connections also extend to Central Park Elementary School and Plantation Middle, which she attended. Maher’s mother, Marla is a 5th grade teacher at Fox Trail Elementary School and her father, Brian, is a school resource officer at West Broward High School.
Although Maher has not been featured on the show to the same extent as some other contestants, viewers had an opportunity to cast votes for her beginning last night (Wednesday, July 11). “So You Think You Can Dance,” airs locally on WSVN-TV, Channel 7 at 8 p.m.
Next week we’ll learn if Tiffany makes it to the next round.
